Achieving Observable Results from Analysis of Complex Variables
Complexity. Our society and every segment of it is becoming more complex. The information was not readily available for terribly, in-depth analysis and not automated enough to make even basic systems take full advantage. For most of the last 30 years, seismic data processing and airline scheduling were the two most complex computer CPU users, calculating a very wide range of variables and as computer horsepower has increased, the speed of calculations has accelerated. But speed without correct answers is finishing the test first but getting a C. As the Internet of Things has continued, there is significantly more data available but the complexity of variable outcomes in any usable time frame has continued to be somewhat elusive and definitely not optimized. And this applies to every industry. There are some sub sectors that have seen dramatic improvements in model and prediction. Observable results can still be elusive. So when a system is developed with the specific goal of optimizing pricing across a large number of diverse locations, it stands out as a very good example of what is possible today.
For this Company Spotlight, we interviewed PriceEasy’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer (Raj Golecha). PriceEasy combines the power of data science, human ingenuity, and machine learning to help fuel retailers strategize and execute their fuel pricing decisions using artificial intelligence to identify key pricing opportunities in their market. For more information on PriceEasy, please visit www.priceeasy.ai.
Background: Before founding PriceEasy, Raj Golecha worked in the downstream and retail fuel sectors. During that time, he discovered that corporations were not leveraging external data nearly as much as they should have been, especially around their pricing strategies. Further, he ...............READ MORE
